Summary
One-Punch Manis a series that greatly emphasizes the role of strength and power within the arsenal of a hero. From weak characters that are virtually powerless in the face of some others to heroes that can destroy the very fabric of reality should they choose to, the series gives us dozens of characters that are all ranked invarying degrees of strength. Though it is even more intensely emphasized that one does not need overwhelming strength to be a hero, having an appropriate amount means that you will be better equipped to fight all of your enemies.
However, this varying degree of power is a standard that is not only set for the heroes but also for the villains. InOne-Punch Man, all monsters are divided up into five categories or, as they are referred to in the series itself, ‘Disaster Levels’. Much like the heroes, thedisaster levels of monsterscan range from those enemies that pose a threat to a single or group of individuals to a monster that is strong enough to effect reality itself, and they’re officially broken up into Wolf, Tiger, Demon, Dragon and God. So, let’s break down all these categories!

Disaster Level Wolf
Disaster Level Wolf is the weakest of all the disaster levels and typically features those monsters that can only really pose a threat to civilians when they are alone and perhaps also to those that are in small group settings. These monsters are very one-dimensional and are comparatively easy to dispose of as these are part of aweekly quota for the C-Class, which means that there has to be a weekly number of monsters for lower-tier characters to defeat to stay in the Hero Association. C-Class heroes are considered the weakest in the entire Association and this class is also the one that is most populated.
Taking that into consideration, the official count of heroes that reside in the C-Class is 390, and each of them has a weekly quota of monsters to defeat, which just goes to show how much fodder the Wolf Level monsters really are. Though some can be generally stronger, they pose no real threat to more advanced heroes. Monsters in this class include Messenger of the Seafolk, Tongue Stretcher, and Piggy Bancon.

Disaster Level Tiger
Moving up from Wolf, Disaster Level Tiger is one that it generally glossed over by both fans of the show and even the show itself. This category is officially described as containing monsters that are strong enough to easily defeat civilians and lower-tier heroes and can most efficiently be described as those enemies that pose a threat to a large group of people at the same time and require higher-tier heroes such as those inthe B-Class heroesto defeat, though sometimes, they can even be strong enough to require an A-Class hero or two to take down.

One Punch Manhas shown a few Disaster Level Tiger monsters and they have been of varying strength, so they should never be taken lightly. Kombu Infinity was a monster that was categorized as Disaster Level Tiger but was able to incapacitate multiple B-Class heroes, showing that while the Disaster Levels can generally be paired to their regular correspondinghero classesthis may not always be the case as stronger class heroes may be needed to defeat some monsters. Monsters in this category include Crablante, Marshal Gorilla and Rhino Wrestler.
Disaster Level Demon
The next category of monsters that we have is Disaster Level Demon, which really starts the trend of the big hitters in the series as these are monsters that pose a threat to an entire city and its people. At this point, all heroes that are B-Class or below are essentially useless as many Demon-Level threats have been shown to match well against even S-Class heroes. Keeping with the trends of these categories, Demon Level monsters should be paired up with A-Class heroes, but the fact of the matter is that a single A-Class hero may not be enough to defeat them (except for Amai Mask).
Team work has got to be the key to defeating these threats as seen in season 2 where Demon Level monster, Do-S, was able to turn multiple B-Class heroes into her slaves. Only later through teamwork did Fubuki and the others start to gain the upper hand, untilTatsumaki came and completely turned the tideon her own. Demon Level threats, such as Deep Sea King and Mosquito Girl, are incredibly strong as they can go up against some lower-ranked S-Class characters as they both did very well against Genos and the former was even able to beat Puri Puri Prisoner. Monsters in this category include Deep Sea King, Beast King, and Armored Gorilla.

Disaster Level Dragon
Disaster Level Dragon is a category of monsters that has only consisted of the strongest enemies that we saw in the series for a long time. One Punch Manofficially recognizes Dragon Level monsters as being threats to multiple cities and all their populations. Beforethe Monster Association arc, Dragon Level monsters were very few and far between in terms of appearances as they are just too powerful and can only able to be defeated by S-Class heroes, even to the point where lower tier S-Class heroes would not be able to do the job alone as seen when Melzargard faced off against 4 S-Class heroes, which included S-Class rank 3, Bang.

The Monster Association arc broughtall the Dragon Level threatsto the surface, making it so the entire world was in danger. Led by Psykos and Monster King Orochi, the entire hero association was made completely ineffective for the most part as all the heroes in classes A, B and C were essentially useless in fighting the main roster that the Monster Association had and were stuck to the sidelines, dealing with the far weaker residuals and saving people caught in the rubble.
Dragon Level threats also had some of the most impressive feats in the entire series as seen withFully Monsterized Garouand Platinum Sperm going toe to toe, fighting at faster than light speeds which left constellations in the sky and the merger of Psykos and Orochi being able to slice open some part of the crust of the Earth. Dragon Level threats include Psykorochi, Monster Garou, Boros, and Homeless Emperor.

Unofficial Disaster Level
Though not officially recognized as a Disaster Level in the series, there are a handful of monsters that don’t have a proper level. This is because these monsters are unfathomably powerful and when they were initially shown in the manga, a panel appeared next to them which simply stated ‘Disaster Level: ?????’. Though obviously not an official categorization, it is heavily implied and generally agreed by fans that these monsters are even more powerful than those in the Dragon Level. However, even though these monsters do not fall underthe maximum Disaster Level, it is a widely held view that despite the categorization these monsters still pose a threat to all of humanity. Monsters such as Sage Centipede and Platinum Sperm are included here.
Disaster Level God
Disaster Level God is the very top of the Disaster Level categorization for monsters inOne Punch Man. Though we have not officially seen any enemy that fits in this category yet, it is fair to assume that right now, there is only one character that this entire Disaster Level is for and one that may fit in this level. The one that is here for sure is the enigmatic God ofOne Punch Man, a character we know the absolute least about and the one that is easily themost powerful character in the worldright now. It is fairly easy to deduce this as God imbued Garou with an extremely miniscule portion of his own power, after which Garou was able to match even Saitama however briefly.
Though we can only speculate about God’s identity, we can safely assume that he is the inevitable big bad of the series that Saitama and his friends will eventually face off against at the very end. The other character that may fall into this category isCosmic Fear Mode Garou, as no one on the entire planet was able to touch him except for Blast and Saitama himself, which puts him on a level far beyond anything else that we have seen from the series so far. This power allowed him to access his all-powerful Saitama Mode, a power-up that put him on equal footing with the most powerful being in the entire universe, though he couldn’t keep up with Saitama’s growth within the battle itself.

All in all, God and (perhaps) Garou are the only characters in ofOne Punch Manthat are worthy of being in this category, one that hasn’t even been officially included within the Hero association’s breakdown of Monster Disaster Levels. To make it super easy to understand the power that this category holds, it is safe to say that if Saitama was evil, he would be in this category.
