Ramattra has become a hugely popular hero since his introduction toOverwatch 2, though the character’s Ravenous Vortex ability has been found to be prone to a bug that causes it to despawn in certain circumstances.Overwatch 2itself has been no stranger to bugs since it was released, though a frustrating variety of new issues seem to have cropped up since the launch of the game’s latest season.
Introduced in Season 2, Ramattra is one of the newest tank characters inOverwatch 2’s growing hero roster. As the leader of the Omnic liberation group known as Null Sector, Ramattra leads each fight with a number of powerful offensive and defensive abilities, capable of switching between his Omnic and Nemesis forms at will in order to adapt to fluid combat scenarios. Many of his abilities allow him to lead strong advancements against an enemy team, with his Ravenous Vortex ability taking the form of a thrown projectile which slows and grounds enemy targets caught in its radius.

There arecountless other abilities inOverwatch 2that are deployed in a similar manner, though many such throwable abilities are commonly affected by a bug that causes them to disappear or get stuck on map geometry when used. A good example of this glitch in action was shown in a popular Reddit post shared by the user heliotaxis, which features Ramattra’s Ravenous Vortex landing on a doorway and subsequently bouncing around before simply disappearing into a wall. Fans have long noted that small nooks and crevices in map geometry, particularly doorways, have a knack for causing players and abilities to get stuck, with Orisa’s deployable shields commonly encountering this issue in the original game.
Overwatch 2seems to contain many of the same bugs that were present in its predecessor. It’s not uncommon for an unfortunately-placed Torbjorn turret to explode inexplicably upon being constructed, and some maps with moving parts can even manipulate placeable abilities too, such as a door bug that can rotate entire ice walls produced by Mei. Map geometry has also proven to bea major issue for Kiriko inOverwatch 2, as her Swift Step ability either misplaces the character or entirely fails to activate if Kiriko or a targeted teammate are standing on uneven ground.
AlthoughSeason 5 ofOverwatch 2has made some improvementsto the game in many areas through the addition of new gameplay features and content, it has also seen the addition of countless new bugs which are frequently interrupting matches. One of the most popular issues has seen the return of a glitch affecting rank placements in the game’s competitive mode, though another broad and often jarring bug is affecting audio in the game, making certain dialogue lines and weapon sounds much louder than intended.
Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
