Overwatch 2players notice an odd bug with the Minotaur Reinhardt skin for the recent Battle for Olympus game mode. As part of the live service element, Blizzard continues to updateOverwatch 2on a constant basis, whether that’s through bug fixes, seasonal updates, or the introduction of limited time game modes in the Arcade. Thelatest mode calld Battle for Olympus, reimagines some of the heroes as mythological gods, goddesses, and even monsters from Ancient Greece.
So far, reaction from fans to theBattle for Olympus event inOverwatch 2seems to be decidedly mixed. While there are those who seem to enjoy the new look and feel of the heroes, especially those with remixed ultimates, there’s a large portion of players who feel the mode is too much of a grind for lackluster rewards including a Mercy skin which has been available for years. Unfortunately, players have been finding numerous issues with the mode, including a strange bug linked to the tank character Reinhardt.

Over on theOverwatch 2subReddit, a user named singlefate highlighted a strange bug that happens with the new Olympus skin for Reinhardt, which turns him into a Minotaur. However, when using an emote called Sweethardt, his hammer appears as though it were cut in half. Thankfully, the issue does not seem to happen with other emotes, so it is something that appears to be pretty isolated and specific.
Naturally, this led to plenty of jokes about Blizzard being a small indie company, rather than a massive gaming giant with access to plenty of resources. Others took the opportunity tolament the in-game store prices for theseOverwatch 2skins, especially when a number of them have small detailing issues or flaws. Store prices have been a constant talking point from the community sinceOverwatch 2launched as many feel the free to play move has pushed Blizzard to be more aggressive with shop pricing.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first Olympus skin with a strange flaw to it. The controversial tank characterRoadhog has a legendary skin that turns him into a Cyclops, though fans have noticed that using the legendary skin has a negative impact on his reload animation. For whatever reason, when reloading his scrap gun during a replay, the character doesn’t actually load anything into his gun during the animation. While not game-breaking by any means, many fans felt disappointment over the lack of polish.
Overwatch 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
