With most of the world still currently battling the COVID-19 pandemic, the entertainment industry has learned to operate within the confines of lockdown restrictions. In Japan, one of the biggest toy conventions in the country, MegaHobby Expo 2021, is happening purely online. And this is where figure brand MegaHouse revealed the design of an upcomingPersona 5Arsene figure.
ThePersonaseries is celebrating its 25th year anniversarythis 2021. To commemorate the huge milestone, manyPersona-themed events and activities were announced, though most of them would happen in Japan. However, it is not only thePersonaseries celebrating an anniversary this year. The originalPersona 5, which was released for the PS3 and PS4 back in 2016, turned five this 2021. Therefore, Atlus producing a newPersona 5Arsene figure seems like the perfect way to honor the occasion.

On the official MegaHobby Expo 2021 Japanese website, a dedicated page was created for thePersona 5Arsene figure. Roughly translated by Google, the page shares details that the figure will be produced under the Game Characters Collection DX line, and named “Persona 5Arsene (Anniversary EDITION).” Though the images and videos posted only showcase the prototype design, the iconic Persona of theP5Phantom Thief leader Jokerlooks every bit as intimidating and domineering as it does within the actual video game. The Arsene figure will stand at 280mm tall, explaining why it looks quite massive in photos and video, given the character’s wide wings and large top hat.
ThePersona 5Arsene figure is not the only statue showcased from the series during MegaHobby Expo 2021. The prototype design of the previously announcedP5Joker Lucrea figurealso received a dedicated page on the event’s website. The figure was still largely in grayscale but this time, Joker was shown wearing his famous Phantom Thief mask. Unfortunately, MegaHouse has yet to reveal the price point and release dates of the twoPersona 5figures. So fans will have to wait for official updates before they can decide on purchasing either of the two figures.
Nevertheless,Persona 5fans should stay vigilant on Atlus’s official channels. Given how popular the video game series is around the world, there is a likely chance that these figures will sell out the moment their pre-order periods are opened by the manufacturers.
