Nintendo of America has just announced that it will hold a special promotional event featuring popular Nintendo characters like Mario, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and Pikachu in major US cities from June 13 to September 2. Dubbed the Play Nintendo Tour, this promotion will be free to attend and allow young fans and their parents to share photo opportunities withtheir favorite Nintendo mascots, win prizes, and even try out some of the latest Nintendo Switch titles at playable demo kiosks.

Some of the more specific activities at the upcoming Play Nintendo Tour include a photo-op with Luigi ahead ofLuigi’s Mansion 2 HD’s launch on June 27, playable demos ofSuper Mario Bros. WonderandMario Kart 8 Deluxe(alongside itsBooster Course PassDLC), and a fun photo-op withTom Nook and Isabelle fromAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. Fans ofPrincess Peach: Showtimecan take to the red carpet alongside the titular heroine before sampling her latest theater-inspired adventure, while aspiringPokemonmasters can hang out with Pikachu and learn about some of the powerful new creatures to be caught inPokemon Scarlet and Violet.

There will be even more Nintendo Switch demos at the Play Nintendo Tour, includingMario vs. Donkey Kong,Nintendo Switch Sports,Kirby and the Forgotten Land,Pikmin 4, andJust Dance 2024. Starting on July 18, attendees will be able to try outNintendo World Championships: NES Edition, a collection of bite-sized challengespulled from classic Nintendo titleslike the originalSuper Mario Bros.andThe Legend of Zelda. Visitors can also take part in Nintendo-themed activities like personality quizzes, jumbo puzzles, memory-matching games, and even a claw machine, and there will be a designated arena where they can learn more about the Nintendo Switch system.
Lastly, Play Nintendo Tour attendees will receive a free Play Nintendo Tour passport, which they can use to gather stickers for participating in various activities at the event. Once this passport is filled out, the visitor can win free prizes like Play Nintendo bracelets, coloring pages, and a freeNintendo Switch Online 14-day trial codewhile supplies last.
