A creativePokemonfan has recently devised a Mega Evolution for Delphox, redesigning the Pokemon to look even stronger and cooler than its original form. Just like thePokemonfan who is fusing every Gen 1 creature, this work shows how the community loves the franchise, and it’s made up of several skilled artists.

Mega Evolutions appeared for the first time in the sixth generation of the franchise, withPokemon X and Y, which were released back in 2013. These unique forms of pre-existing creatures were unlocked when gamers held special items and featured more powerful versions of popular monsters. Coincidentally, these games also marked the first appearance of Delphox, which is a Fire/Psychic Pokemon that evolves from Fennekin, one of the starters of the generation. So, a Mega Evolution for Delphox just seems natural, as it was not possible to do it in the games.

To address this, aPokemonfan called PhatmonMonstraros decided to share their Mega Delphox with the community. This version is exactly what fans would expect from such a creature, as it retains a very similar appearance and colors, but looks mightier and wiser. Instead of carrying a stick resembling a magic wand, nowthe Fire/Psychic Pokemoncomes with a scepter, and it also looks bigger. It’s like Delphox graduated from being a magician’s apprentice to an elegant wizard.

Many people in the community really loved PhatmonMonstraros’Pokemondesign. For instance, one user called HoldAppropriate5252 was amazed by how the artist was able to tweak the original design. According to them, the main success of the project was making it clear that this is still Delphox, but with some details that resemble royalty, such as the new scepter. The creator even acknowledged this and explained that they decided on this makeover because the Delphox was originally lacking in elegance.

This is just one among several examples of remarkablePokemonfan art. Another recent project that looks really cool is ahuman version of Litwick. A fan unveiled this design a few days ago, turning the cute, little Pokemon that looks like a candle into an anime girl, retaining the same color scheme as the original creature and a similar shape. While human versions of Pokemon are quite common in fan-made art, this one really stands out, as the creator was able to take a Pokemon that is essentially a candle and turn it into something else entirely.
