Pokemon TCG fans will have to fork out a lot of money if they want to add a Special Illustrated Rare Mew ex card fromScarlet and Violet 151 Setinto their collection. After The Pokemon Companyofficially announced the Scarlet and Violet 151 setand its release date for the US and international markets, Pokemon TCG fans have already been looking into the revealed cards since they have already been released in Japan.

The Pokemon Company recently announced the Scarlet and Violet 151 Set on June 16 and revealed the English version of Bulbasaur. The set will feature the original 151 Generation 1 Pokemon, 12 new Pokemon ex, and more than 10 Trainer cards. Many1996 Pokemon cards are claimed to have the best art stylesand still prove popular among fans due to their rarity. The Pokemon Company will be reintroducing them in the Scarlet and Violet 151 Set alongside other cards.

A Special Illustration Rare Mew ex card will be included in thePokemon TCGScarlet and Violet 151 set. However, it will not be featured in a booster pack but rather in the Scarlet and Violet 151 Ultra Premium Collection as a promo card. The card features Mew soaring in the sky above a town on a textured foil card that transforms the art from sunrise to sunset. The Scarlet and Violet 151 Ultra Premium Collection will cost $119.99 and will be available to purchase in the US and internationally in October 2023.

The Japanese version of the card is the only version currently available and is proving to be the most popular in the set. Resellers are currently pricing it at around $200 on eBay. Mew’s Special Illustration Rare card is not the only card Pokemon TCG fans have their sights set on owning but alsoKadabra’s cardwhich has not been featured in a set for more than two decades.

It is not known yet if this set will prove as popular as the first release back in 1996, but Pokemon TCG fans are hyped and already see value in the set after the inclusion of the Special Illustrated Rare Mew ex, Mewtwo, Snorlax, and the highly requested Kadabra.
