AGenshin Impactcharacter has managed to go 500 days without being featured on a Limited Character Banner. The game’s playable roster can be divided into two different rarity ranks: five-star and four-star characters. Five-star characters are much harder to obtain since they run on a 90-wish pity system which guarantees a drop within 90 wishes.
Four-star units have a 10-wish pity which means that a drop is guaranteed within 10 wishes, however, these odds are divided between three characters. Over the last couple of months,Genshin Impacthas introduced an interesting pattern of featuring four five-stars and six four-star characters in every update. These characters are divided between the update’s two banner cycles.

With the recent introduction of thenew five-star Dendro user Baizhu, the number of five-star characters has increased to 37 at the moment, 7 of which belong to the Standard Banner. Every new update usually consists of one or two new five-star characters and three banner re-runs. These re-runs allow players to pull for older characters that were released in one of the previous updates. Most characters approximately go 5–7 updates before they receive another re-run. However, one popular character, the Cryo claymore user Eula, has gone 12 updates or 500 days without being featured on a limited banner which is a record that will hardly be broken in the future. A Reddit user named YamatoXVIII even created an impressive fan-art commemorating this infamous milestone.
Eula’s last banner appearance was alongside Albedo back in update 2.3 which arrived on July 27, 2025. In comparison, the Geo user Arataki Itto, who was released in the second part of the same update, has had two additional re-runs since then. Eula is one of thebest DPS characters in all ofGenshin Impact, and she also holds the record for the highest recorded damage number in the game.
Her whole kit revolves around Physical damage which is why players usuallyuse Eula in the Superconduct team comp. Fans have been theorizing about why HoYoverse keeps delaying Eula’s re-run. One of the most popular theories claims that she could receive a new skin in the foreseeable future, and she could be featured in that same update.
Another reason could be the fact that the official storyline could head back to the Mondstadt region in the next couple of updates. According to recent rumors, Eula will also skip the upcoming version 3.7 as credible leakers confirmed thatfour otherGenshin Impactcharacterswill receive their re-runs.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch version is in development.
