Disney itself seems to agree, as there is already aMandalorianand Grogufeature film in the works.
With that in mind, it’s no surprise thatDestiny 2has its own cadre ofStar Warsfans ready to show their love for the show and its characters. One such fan is Reddit user pokerott98, who quickly latched onto the possibilities put forth by the new batch of armor added inDestiny 2’s latest expansion. Like otherDestiny 2expansions,The Final Shapeadded a host of new gear and tweaked existing Exotic pieces.
Destiny 2 Fan Creates Grogu Cosplay Using The Final Shape Warlock Gear
During their playthrough ofThe Final Shape, pokerott98 managed to earn one of the new armor pieces introduced by the expansion’s first new Episode.Episodes are what replace theDestiny 2Seasonsin the wake ofThe Final Shapeand are intended by developer Bungie to happen less frequently but be more substantial, dropping significant story beats as well as new activities, locations, and gear for players to earn. One piece in particular was the Untethered Edge Hood, a boldly-designed piece of Warlock Gear. Thanks to its extremely wide, ear-like protrusions coming off of the sides of the helmet, the hood is a dead ringer for the bat-like head silhouette of Grogu. Colored by the light green of the Long Journeys shader, pokerott98 used it as the centerpiece of their Grogu cosplay.
Players quickly praised pokerott98’s work, and noted that the Untethered Edge Hood’s shape was for cosplay of not just Grogu but Yoda, or even the more obscure member of their species,Jedi Master Yaddle. That said, pokerott98’s chest piece choice came from the High-Minded Complex armor, an older piece dating back to 2019’sDestiny 2Season 8 (Season of the Undying), and its well-wrapped silhouette more closely matches Grogu’s fashion sense than Yoda or Yaddle’s.
