One of the secret classes inRemnant 2, known as Archetypes, is the Engineer class, which is a heavy weapons specialist that utilizes huge firearms and turrets to support their combat ventures. Players will need to jump through a few hurdles to get their hands on this character class, sothis is how to acquire the Engineer Archetype.
How To Get The Engineer Archetype
Unlike some of the other secret Archetypes inRemnant 2, acquiring the Engineer character class is a relatively simple activity if players know where to go. Gaining this class requires players to grab one item and bring it to Wallace for exchange. This itemcan be found in N’Erud, however, it is very well hidden, which is the real challenge of this quest.

To acquire the Engramfor the Engineer Archetype, players will first need to find the Alien Device, which is located on the second major map area on N’Erud, either the Timeless Horizon or Eon Vault. The Alien Device can be foundalong the edge of the map by jumping across a hidden platform and dropping over the ledge. The map is surrounded by toxic gas that will make players sick and eventually kill them if exposed for extended periods, so it is crucial to find the correct area before entering the cloud of gas.
As re-rolling a campaign or adventurecan rearrange many aspects of a map, it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact location of the ledge. However, players should look toturn left as they exit the entry point to the region. After turning left, players need to weave in a relatively straight direction until they encounter a particular cluster of stone spikes and a platform. It is through this gap that their character should enter the poison gas and leap across the gap and aim to the right to ensure they land on the platform. For full visual guidance, feel free to see the video below.

Once players have acquired the Alien Device, they will need to accept their fate and die, as it isn’t possible to get back to safety in time. However, once they are revived at the checkpoint, they can head back to Ward 13 and trade in the device forthe Drzyr Caliper, the Engram for the Engineer Archetype.
