In the originalRE4, Leon had only one side quest: He had to destroy some cursed medallions to receive exclusive gifts likethe Punisher handgun. However, the remake revives this old tradition with Requests, a series of challenging objectives that pay Leon in Spinels. The following is a list of all these newly introduced missions and guides for completing them.

List of All Merchant Requests
Requests are optional objectives received from the Merchant. The remake ofResident Evil 4has 19 of these Merchant Requests that reward the player with 84 Spinels.
Request #1: Destroy All Blue Medallions
The first Merchant Request can be found at the Village Farm, where Leon first comes across a Brute. It asks the player todestroy five blue medallionsscattered around the Farm.
Request #2: Pest Control
After escaping from the basement in Chapter 2, the player comes across the second Merchant Request in the Abandoned Factory. The objective is simple:kill three rats in the factory.
Request #3: Viper Hunter
The Merchant in Chapter 3 asks Leon to bring him three Vipers (snakes). These animals can be found at the Fish Farm,where Leon finds the boat fuel.
Request #4: Grave Robber
The fourth Merchant Request is in the Church’s backyard. It prompts the player todestroy the wicked twin’s tombstoneemblems, which can be found at the nearby graveyard. (Look for two V-shaped emblems.)
Request #5: Destroy All Blue Medallions 2
At the Quarry, the Merchant requests the destruction of five blue medallions around thearea where Leon fights El Gigantefor the first time.
Request #6: Egg Hunt
After beating the lake monster, Leon finds the sixth MerchantRequest that asks for a Golden Egg. To complete this objective, the player must ride the boat to the small island on the east flank of the lake, where chickens are roaming. Or they could also postpone the task to Chapter 12, where they get a Golden Egg in Ramon Salazar’s throne room.
Request #7: Catch Me a Big Fish
In Chapter 4, the Merchantasks for a Lunker Bass, a rare giant fish. To catch this creature, the player must go to the Boat House and kill it with the harpoon.
Request #8: A Savage Mutt
After the cabin fight, Leon finds the eighth Request at the Town Hall. It prompts him to defeat a wild dog (a Colmillos) haunting the Merchant. For this side quest, the player must return to the Village Chief’s Manor and kill the giant infected dog.
Request #9: Destroy All Blue Medallions 3
The ninth Merchant Request is a classic blue medallion destruction mission. This time, the player must scan the area near the Castle Gate tofind and break all 6 cursed objects.
Request #10: Destroy All Blue Medallions 4
Another blue medallion objective is inside the Castle, where Leon mustsolve the headless statue puzzle. Like the previous ones, this Request is completed by shootingsix blue pendants hidden in the Castle Grand Hall.
Request #11: More Pest Control
For the eleventh Merchant Request, the player must clean the Grand Hall and Library area from the roaming rats. They shouldkill at least three of these filthy creaturesto get the prize.
Request #12: Merciless Knight
After saving Leon as Ashley, he comes across the twelfth Merchant Request in the Castle. The blue note says that he mustkill a threatening Armadura—a knight-like creature—which lurks in the Mausoleum.
Request #13: Insect Hive
After theminecart ride in Chapter 11, Luis and Leon enter the Novistadors' hive, where they find the thirteenth Request: Destroy all hive entrances. To get it done, the player must shoot the four pulsing shiny hive entrances.
Request #14: Jewel Thief
At the Clock Tower rooftop, Leon finds the fourteenth Request,Jewel Thief, which asks him for a Scratched Emerald. To complete this side quest, the player must shoot the crow nest above the Courtyard’s entrance and retrieve the green gem.
Request #15: The Disgrace of the Salazar Family
Before facing Ramon Salazar, the player finds a Request that asks for a strange favor: Disrespect Salazar’s portrait. To finishthe Disgrace of the Salazar Family, the player must first locate Ramon’s throne and then vandalize his portrait with an egg.
Request #16: Destroy the Blue Medallions 5
The sixteenth Request is found near the Merchant site at Facility 1 Storage. It prompts the player to destroy five hidden blue medallions near the storage.
Request #17: Even More Pest Control
For the seventeenth Merchant Request, the player must eliminate at least fourinfected rats around the Waste Disposal area.
Request #18: The Wandering Dead
Afterretrieving the wrench in the Incubation Lab, the player must go back to this location to fight off an Iron Maiden. Killing this thorn-throwing creature would fulfill the Merchant’s eighteenth Request.
Request #19: Destroy All Blue Medallions 6
The final Merchant Request in Chapter 15 is the same as the first one:Find and destroy five blue medallions. (Reading the blue note reveals the locations of all these pendants on the map.)
How to See All Merchant Requests
Press Y (Triangle on PlayStation) to open the inventory. From there, head to the Files section and open the “Requests” tabs to see all side quests. But note that some Requests will remain hidden until the player discovers them.
What Happens After Completing All Merchant Requests
Finishing all Merchant Requests grants the Jack of All Trades achievement/trophy. It also gives the player 1,000 Completion Points (CP), which they can spend at the Extra Content Shop.
