For those who may be unaware of who exactly Chief Irons is in theResident Eviluniverse, he serves as the police chief of the Raccoon City Police Department. Irons has a prominent role in theResident Evil 2video game, where he is working with the Umbrella Corporation to help cover up the T-Virus incident. Irons appears most prominently inResident Evil 2’s Claire Redfield storyline, and also interacts with both Sherry and William Birkin in the games. William Birkin has already been cast in theResident Evilmovie, with Neal McDonough taking on the role.
It will be interesting to see if there are any major changes made to Chief Irons in theResident Evilmovie reboot. While it is expected to be mostly faithful to the source material, theResident Evilmovie reboot also seems to be taking some liberties. For example, the film seems to jumping over the originalResident Evilto focus on the events ofResident Evil 2, while also roping in characters who weren’t in theResident Evil 2video game - namely Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine.
Then again, it’s possible that the movie will show both the mansion incident from the firstResident Evilalong with the events ofResident Evil 2. While theResident Evilmovie character and cast listsare available, and set photos of the Raccoon City Police Department have appeared online, there hasn’t been much revealed in the way of actual plot details.
