While Capcom still has yet to actually announceResident Evil 8in an official capacity, the latest rumors about the game potentially reveal a new playable character that will be joiningResident Evil 7’s Ethan Winters in his next terrifying adventure.
In a compilation ofResident Evil 8rumors posted by Biohazardcast, a new playable character named Emily is discussed. Emily reportedly lives in the mountains whereResident Evil 8supposedly takes place. She is in her 20s and is searching for her missing father, which sees her cooperate withEthan. The extent to which Emily will be playable is not revealed, but it will definitely be interesting to see what role she will play inResident Evil 8, assuming the rumors are true.

There are plenty ofResident Evil 8rumorsfloating around online, and it’s difficult to determine which are true and which aren’t. However, there does seem to be some consistencies with the rumors. For example, many of the leakers are in agreement thatResident Evil 8will be first-person, and that it will feature Ethan Winters as the main playable protagonist.
