Upon release,Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the follow-up to 2019’sFallen Order, received mostly good scores from critics, but the fan base evidently feels differently and the game is being review bombed by the community. Asone of the most anticipated games of 2023,Survivorhas been on a lot of people’s watch lists for some time, especially given the warm reception of its predecessor. However, there appear to be some major issues with the new release.
It’s becoming morecommon these days for games to be review bombed, a practice that involves fans taking to online digital storefronts and sites like Metacritic to hit titles with a wave of low scores and negative comments. Some of these may be down to console exclusivity or pricing, while there are a vocal minority who often take exception to games likeThe Last of Us Part 2andHorizon Forbidden Westopting for more exclusivity or offering stronger representation of women, ethnicity, and people from the LGBTQIA+ community. However, there are times when a game is just poorly optimized.
