How to Get Oak Resin
You can obtain Oak Resin by placing a Tapper on an Oak Tree. The regular Tapper produces one Oak Resin every seven days, while the Heavy Tapper speeds things up, yielding one Oak Resin every three days.
Another way to get Oak Resin is by defeating the Haunted Skull in the Quarry Mines or the dungeon floors in The Mines. Additionally, there’s a chance of obtaining Oak Resin whenever you break down Hardwood in theWood Chipper.

You cannot buy Oak Resin from any of theStardew Valleyvendors. It can only be obtained by tapping Oak Trees, farming Haunted Skulls, or chipping Hardwood.

Tapping Oak Trees isn’t the only way to get Oak Resin. Haunted Skulls, found in the Quarry Mine and random dungeon floors of The Mines, have a 1.3% chance of dropping Oak Resin. Additionally,shredding Hardwood in the Wood Chipperhas a small chance—about 0.66%—to yield Oak Resin.

Oak Resin’s base price is 150g. With the Tapper profession, this increases by 25%, bringing the final sale price to 187g. Since the regular Tapper produces one Oak Resin per week, the profit margin is around 21.5g to 26.7g per day, before accounting for production costs.
