Ryujin Industries are one of the main factions withinStarfield’sSettled Systems, and are particularly dominant in the commerce-heavy city of Neon. Primarily dealing in corporate espionage and market manipulation, Ryujin have a reputation as being somewhere between a legitimate enterprise and a mafia operation. Likemany other factions inStarfield, players can become a member of Ryujin Industries and follow their own unique faction questline. And as the largest faction in Neon, it can be advantageous for players to get on their good side.
Following onfrom the mission “One Step Ahead,“in which players had to upload incriminating data at Celt Corp’s Headquarters in Trade Tower, players will then be sent by Imogen to Akila City, the capital of the Freestar Collective, in the Cheyenne System. This is where “A New Narrative” takes place.

Confidential Files
Much like the previous mission, players will once again be required toinfiltrate a facilityand plant evidence on a corporation that is intended to paint them in a bad light. These tactics of corporate espionage are a testimony to the deceptive and dishonest nature of Ryujin, who are motivated entirely by credits rather than any deep philosophical values.
Since players are still being assessed by Imogen for a role within Ryujin, they will need to complete the mission stealthily, without being caught. Imogen will provide the player with some Confidential Files to be placed inside a safe in a weapons store named Laredo Firearms. Following the meeting, players will have to travel toAkila City on the planet Akilain the Cheyenne System, where Laredo Arms is located.

Laredo Firearms
Laredo Firearms is one of the best weapons merchants inStarfield. In addition to housing an arsenal of powerful, modified weapons, they also possess great facilities such as a shooting range for players to test out their different weapons on. Finding the store is relatively easy.Upon entering Akila City, turn right and follow the wall. The building can be locatedjust beyond the Trade Authorityon the other side of a low-hanging bridge.
Once inside, head upstairs to the private offices. The employees of Laredo Firearms will not become alarmed until the player tries toopen the sealed doorguarding a private office. This office is also guarded by a rotating security, so attempting to open the door in view of the camera will also alert everyone. In addition to the camera, a worker will be sat at a desk facing the opposite way. This will force the player to sneak through the room in order to avoid detection.Attempting to open the door must be timed correctly to avoid raising the alarm.
Once the door has been openedusing the conventional Digipick method, players will have to unlock the safe. The view of the safe is much better obstructed, so doing this without being detected should be quite simple. Once the safe is open, transfer the Confidential Files from their own personal inventory to that of the safe. With this objective complete, players are free to return to Imogen in Neon to receive a debrief, as well as the next quest in the Ryujin faction questline: “Access Is Key.”
