Summary
Homeworld 3gives players two factions to choose from when playing Skirmish orWar Games. One of these factions is the Hiigaran, a recurring faction in theHomeworldseries and also the main faction of the story of Homeworld 3.
The Hiigaran have access to multiple Frigates whose versatility makes up the backbone for the rest of the fleet. Hiigarans also have access to multiple Strikecraft that each perform a useful role and their Capital class ships that can quickly turn the tides of a match. Here are the best ships to prioritize using in games.

7Fleet Bomber
Strong vs. Larger, Slower-Moving Opponents
One of the highlights of the Hiigaran are their Stirkecraft. With a few hull upgrades that can be purchased early into the game, theseFleet Bomberscan be a mainstay in your production line throughout the game. Most players will shift toward larger ships as the game progresses, especially Incarnate players.
Fleet Bombers specialize in dealing with larger ships and can make short work of them with enough bombers. While their hull may not hold up against some of the larger guns big ships can have their cloaking upgrade can help large groups appear for quick and decisive attacks before retreating.

6Mine Layer Frigate
Strong vs. Capital Ships
TheMine Layer Frigateis good against just about any enemy but it does come down to how well the player sets up anduses the mines. They do stay after being deployed and one frigate can lay an impressive amount of mines in a short time. Against anything medium-sized or bigger that moves slower than Strikecraft this Frigate excels.
Players will need to be good at micromanaging this ship by moving it around to place its mines properly with its full effectiveness determined by the player. Other ships later on this list are much better at holding their own and require much less hand-holding.

5Assault Frigate
Stronger vs. Fighters And Opponents With Low Hull Integrity
TheAssault Frigateis the first Frigate players will be able to build and should be a plentiful ship in any fleet. While not truly excelling in one way the Assault Frigate is a tanky ship that can absorb a lot of damage and protect the Strikecraft and squishier ships of your fleet.
This ship can hold its own against many Corvettes and Strikecraft below it and acts as a turning point in a game as all players will need to transition to bigger ships with stronger guns. When making a formation it’s best to have this ship front and center as it will still be one of the last to fall despite being the first to be shot.

4Torpedo Frigate
Strong vs. Large, Slow-Moving Opponents
TheTorpedo Frigatehas one of the longest ranges of any ship in the game. Its rockets may seem at a disadvantage against Strikecraft due to their speed but even the fastest ships will eventually be hit and destroyed by only a few missiles in this Frigates barrage.
This ship excels when facing larger ships and taking them out in more crowded encounters. The range lets this ship sit a safe distance outside of the heaviest fighting and focus down specific targets within the enemy fleet to break their core ships before cleaning up the rest.

3Support Frigate
Strong vs. Nothing - Utility Vehicle
TheSupport Frigateis the Hiigaran way of repairing ships both in and out of combat. While the Support Frigate can’t fight on its own it serves as an excellent back line that cancontinuously heal your other shipswhile they are fighting.
Incarnate players will need to pull Resource Collectors to do repairs but Hiigarans won’t thanks to this ship. While it is susceptible to enemy fire, pairing it with a Suppression Frigate will help protect it from even waves of Strikecraft.

2Carrier
TheCarriermay not be the best in terms of offensive capabilities but does have an impressive amount of guns to hold its own against enemy Strikecraft. The main selling point for this ship is its supportive capabilities in building and repairing ships far from the Mothership.
In the build menu players can select to build some smaller ships from a Carrier instead and have those ships bebuilt right thereon the front lines. Ships that are in need of repairs can also dock at a carrier for quick repairs without having to return back to the Mothership.

1Battlecruiser
Strong vs. Everything
TheBattlecruiseris the pinnacle of Hiigaran ships and can hold its own against a small fleet all on its own. Even when greatly outnumbered this ship has many powerful guns that can make short work of Strikecraft and Corvettes, while also taking out Frigates with minimal effort.
Battlecruisers deal the most amount of damage in the game but can also act as your fleet’s shield to absorb enemy damage while additional ships disperse and further break apart the enemy’s fleet. Building a Battlecruiser and even getting two or three can set the stage for a quick close on a battle by rushing the enemy’s Mothership.
