The Super Nintendo is easily one of the greatest and most iconic video game consoles of all time. It was originally released in Japan (under the name Super Famicom) on July 28, 2025 and followed in North America on August 01, 2025. It was an immediate success thanks to its incredible lineup of games, advanced graphical and sound capabilities, and heavy marketing campaign.

10Pocky & Rocky 2 - $800-$1,000
Known in Japan asMysterious Ghost World: A Moonlit Night,Pocky & Rocky 2(which doesn’t sound nearly as cool) is a shoot em up game developed and published by Natsume. The game received rave reviews upon release but quickly faded into obscurity, eventually earning a reputation as a valuable collector’s item. Only a handful of copies have found their way onto eBay in recent years, and most have sold in the ballpark of $800 to $1,000. Either way, you’ll be forking over a bit of cash if you want to get your hands on this baby…
9Star Fox: Super Weekend - $1,300
Super Weekendis a limited edition of the OG Star Fox created exclusively for competition events. These events were hosted by Nintendo Power and took place throughout North America and Europe. Approximately two thousand cartridges of the game were made.

As you can imagine, these cartridges have since become exceptionally rare. They pop up on Bay a couple of times a year, and each time they sell for around $1,300. But hey, if you’re lucky you can snag one for the small, small price of $800…
8Castlevania: Dracula X - $500-$1,700
Dracula Xis a vastly redesigned version of the PC Engine gameCastlevania: Rondo of Blood. It was released for the SNES and featured completely different gameplay elements, a new art style, and totally redesigned levels. So, it was basically a whole different game. Either way, this is quite a valuable title and can sell for approximately $500 on eBay. And that’s for a normal copy! Sealed copies are in a whole other ballpark, as they can sell anywhere from $1,000 to $1,700.
7Final Fight Guy - $600-$1,900
This sounds like a totally made up video game, but we swear it isn’t! It was released in Japan in 1992 and served as a revised edition to the SNES gameFinal Fight, which in itself was a port of an arcade beat-em-up! It is also incredibly valuable. A couple copies popped up on eBay throughout 2019, with the cheapest copy selling for $600! Most of the others reached into the four figures, with the most expensive selling for just under $2,000!
6Donkey Kong Country: Competition Edition - $2,000-$2,500
You all knowDonkey Kong Country. It’s only one of the greatest and most influential video games ever made! But did you know that a special “Competition Edition” was made for…well…competitions? It was much likeStar Fox: Super Weekendin that regard, only these copies are much more valuable!

Two copies were sold on eBay in 2016 - one for $1,800 and another for $2,000. It popped up again in December 2018, this time selling for $2,500! Turns out, people really love Donkey Kong. Now who would of thought that?
5Hagane: The Final Conflict - $1,500-$3,000
As you can see, there’s a bit of a price discrepancy when it comes toHagane: The Final Conflict! But either way, it’s a pricey one. This is a rare action platformer originally released back in June of 1995. It sees players taking on the role of a ninja cyborg (yes, a ninja cyborg), and it received favorable reviews upon release. It’s now considered a cult classic, and getting your hands on one does not come cheap. Used copies of the game can stretch from $1,500 to $2,000, and factory sealed copies have been known to go for upwards of $3,000!
4Nintendo Campus Challenge 1992 - $4,000
The Nintendo Campus Challenge were various competition events hosted by Nintendo and held at various college campuses throughout Canada and the United States. The 1992 event contained an unusual cartridge and three distinct minigames related toSuper Mario World,F-Zero, andPilotwings. Man, we really miss the 90s. Everything was just so much…cozier. Amazingly, only two cartridges of the game are known to exist, and one sold in a private sale in 2006 for $4,000! To be honest, we expected a lot more…
3Exertainment Mountain Bike Rally - $2,700-$4,800
Now we’re getting into the REALLY rare!Exertainment Mountain Bike Rallyis one of the SNES' most collectible video games, and as you can see, one of its most expensive. This specific game was released in 1995 as a special re-release ofMountain Bike Rally, a bike racing game that went by the name ofCannondale Cupin North America. This game is unbelievably rare, and only a couple recorded sales have been made on eBay. In January 2014 a copy sold for just under $2,700, and in December 2016 a copy sold for an astounding $4,800!
2Aero Fighters - $4,300-7,000
Now we’re talking!Aero Fightersis a vertically scrolling shooter that was released in arcades in 1992 before being ported to the SNES. For whatever reason, the game eventually faded into obscurity and is now known as one of the rarest and hardest to find SNES games. As you’re able to imagine, this incredible rarity comes with a very high and exorbitant price tag. Only two copies were sold on eBay in 2018 (none in 2019) and sold for $1,300 and $2,300. One sealed copy of the game sold in 2017 for $4,300, and one in 2016 for an astounding $7,000!
1Nintendo PowerFest ‘94 - $23,000
TheNintendo PowerFest ‘94cartridge is probably the most elusive video game in existence. As you can probably imagine, Nintendo PowerFest ‘94 was a Nintendo-hosted video game competition that took place in 1994. It featured customized gameplay ofSuper Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels,Super Mario Kart, andKen Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball. Roughly 33 cartridges were produced by Nintendo, but of those 33, only two are known to currently exist. One of these cartridges was found by video game collector J.J. Hendricks, who purchased it for a reported $12,000. In March 2013,a copy was sold on eBayfor an unbelievable $23,100. Now that is one expensive video game.
