Twitch suspended BruceDropEmOff indefinitely on January 27after he allegedly attempted to evade a suspension. The platform banned his alternate account for unknown reasons on January 26, and Twitch’s terms of service forbid streamers from broadcasting on other accounts while one of their accounts is banned. BruceDropEmOff ignored this, resulting in his primary account’s indefinite suspension. However, Twitch lifted his suspension over the weekend, and BruceDropEmOff it’s now back to streaming.

BruceDropEmOff went quiet on social media after his ban late last month, though many fans were hopeful that he would eventually return to Twitch. During his first stream back, BruceDropEmOff acknowledged that he was fortunate to have his account reinstated. However, the content creator doesn’t seem to think he did anything wrong, and his livestream included a thinly coded message for his critics. About 45 minutes into the stream BruceDropEmOff holds up a piece of paper showing profane language in one hand and a box of Nabisco saltine crackers in the other. This refers to how his use of the word may have resulted inTwitch banninghis alternate account.

The use of the word “cracker” to refer to white people has been a controversial topic on Twitch due to the platform’s stance that it constitutes hate speech. As a result, popular streamer HasanAbi received a temporary ban for using the word in December 2021. Politics streamer Vaush received a permanent ban for the same reason shortly after, withTwitch also banning Comment Etiquettethe following month. This happened despite all three men being Caucasian.

However, while that may have been why Twitch band BruceDropEmOff’s alternate account, the streamer also allegedly engaged in other violations of the platform’s community guidelines. This reportedly included telling his critics to kill themselves, a rule violation that Twitch takes quite seriously.

Regardless of why Twitch banned BruceDropEmOff, his fans will undoubtedly be relieved to see him streaming again. Still, while the content creator prides himself on wearing his emotions on his sleeves, he may want to consider being a bit more cautious in the future.
