Popular internet personalities are known for occasionally catching crimes live while streaming IRL and that’s no different with aTwitchstreamer known as Cjayride. While skateboarding around an area of Japan late at night, Cjayride was hit suddenly by a taxi that didn’t notice him on the road.

While streaming his late-night skateboard ride around Japan, Cjayride was discussing the sensitivity of his touchscreen as he turned his phone inward to make adjustments to the settings. As he pondered the touchscreen, Cjayride approached a two-lane road, with a taxi quickly approaching from the nearest lane. Perhaps unable to see theTwitchstreamer, the taxi began turning into the street Cjayride was skateboarding on without slowing for him.

The clip showed a taxi swerve as Cjayride jumped off of his skateboard to avoid being hurt by the vehicle, though was still hit by it. The cab driver’s efforts to skid away from Cjayride’s trajectory were in vain as the impact was visible and audible through Cjayride’s stream. As Cjayride was struck by the taxi, his live viewers were powerless to help and most of them sentTwitch emotesand memes in response.

The taxi driver seemed apologetic as they asked Cjayride repeatedly if he was okay, to which the Twitch streamer assured the driver of the vehicle that he was okay. The Twitch streamer was understanding of the taxi driver’s situation as he left the scene of impact, stating that both of them were doing something they shouldn’t be.

Cjayride returned to skateboarding the streets ofJapanafter being struck by the taxi, continuing in the direction he was going prior to the accident while stating that he had to jump off his board to avoid landing on the hood of the taxi. The Twitch streamer assured his live viewers that he wouldn’t be phoning in the accident, saying “it is what it is.” Cjayride was also quick to celebrate the fact that his skateboard remained mostly undamaged after the accident and admired its performance after such an event.

One of Cjayride’s live viewers was quick to point out how calm the Japanese roads were before the taxi hit the Twitch streamer. Although the taxi had fewer obstructions to deal with beyond Cjayride on the side of another road, they were still unable to avoid the collision. Because the accident did little to deter Cjayride from getting back on his skateboard, it’s likely that fans of his Twitch content can continue to expect moreIRL Twitch streamsin the near future.
