Released back in April,LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawas one of the most anticipated games of the year, bringing together the entire mainlineStar Warssaga in one nostalgic, charming, bold new LEGO adventure. For the most part,LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagalived up to the hype, offering the most expansive and technically impressive LEGO game to date, but for some, the mission quality didn’t quite live up to its iconic predecessors. Generally speaking, though,LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais a good game, and despite its vast scale, fans want even more.
WhileLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagabrought together all nine mainlineStar Warsmovies, along with over 300 playable characters and 24 massive planet biomes, some fans still saw room for improvement. For example, theStar Warsspin-offs didn’t get any dedicated missions, only receiving a nod via someDLC character packs. With a Disney and Marvel Games Showcase taking place next month, andLEGO Star Warsconfirmed to show up, those fans might finally get their wish.

What To Expect From LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s Appearance at the Showcase
Announced a few weeks ago, Marvel and Disney are hosting their own games showcase on September 9. Along with new looks atMarvel’s Midnight SunsandDisney Dreamlight Valley,LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais also slated to have an appearance at the event. This news has surprised a good portion ofLEGO Star Warsfans, as aside from the first few character DLC packs and a handful of patches,The Skywalker Sagahasn’t really been updated since its initial launch.
The most likely announcement to come fromLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaduring the Disney and Marvel Games Showcase is that the game will receive a new wave of character DLC packs. The last few DLC character packs have added someClone Wars,Rogue One,Bad Batch, andMandaloriancharacters to the game, so it seems likely that a potential new DLC will follow suit, adding some characters from therecently releasedObi-Wan Kenobishow. It could also be the case that some moreClone Warscharacters come to the game, and possibly even someone like Cal Kestis fromStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
While it’s much more likely that any upcomingLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker SagaDLC will be some form of character packs, as it’s simply much easier to develop, TT Games could surprise fans and announce a bigger expansion. Some new missions based on some of theStar Warsspin-offs likeRogue OneandSolocould be a possibility for an expansion, and maybe even a new planet to explore along with it.
To truly surprise fans, TT Games could even go so far as announcinga large-scaleClone Warsexpansion, which adapts all seven seasons of the show and brings new planets like Ryloth, Christophsis, and Toydaria to the game. Of course, this hypothetical DLC would also bring a slew ofClone Warscharacters to the game, adding onto those who already made the cut in the base game. Some new space vehicles and capital ships would also go nicely with this expansion, such as General Grevious' flagship, the Malevolence.
Of course, this is all just speculation. While more DLC character packs are much more likely to be announced than any large-scale expansions that add new planets and missions, it’s important for fans to temper their expectations regardless.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
