Players who purchaseMarvel Snap’s Premium Season Pass this season will gain access to a brand-new emote, marking the first time a new emote has been made available in this way.
Emotes have beenMarvel Snap’s sole method of communication since the game’s launch but were limited to only a few available options until recently. The December 2023 season ofMarvel Snapintroduced new emote options, but they were locked behindMarvel Snap’s Album featurethat required players to collect a certain type of card variant in order to unlock the new emote. However, players now have a much easier time unlocking a new emote thanks to the inclusion of one on the Premium track of the Avengers vs. X-Men Season Pass.
Marvel Snap’s Avengers vs. X-Men Season Includes a New Emote in the Season Pass
Marvel Snap’s Season Passeshave historically included a mixture of cosmetics and currency in addition to the new Season Pass Card. While this season’s Season Pass Card, Hope Summers, is an exciting addition for many types of decks, what’s even more exciting is the inclusion of the new Cyclops Crazy Emote on the Premium Season Pass track. Despite new emotes being available since their introduction in December 2023, they have been somewhat difficult for players to obtain, since they require players to collect all 12 necessary variants of a given Album.
Even asmore Albums have been added toMarvel Snap, the chase to collect all cards within an Album and earn a new emote can get expensive quickly. As such, it’s a welcome surprise to see a new emote available as part ofMarvel Snap’s latest Season Pass, opening the door for emotes to become a standard reward in future Season Passes. Hopefully making new emotes more widely available through avenues like the Season Pass will encourage more communication between players during matches, and remove some of the negative connotations surrounding emoting inMarvel Snap.

Not only is the new Cyclops Crazy Emote available via the Premium Season Pass, but it is unlocked quite early at Level 14, meaningMarvel Snapplayers can put this emote to good usefrom an early point in the season. While some players were concerned that the addition of a new emote in the Season Pass would replace another cosmetic usually found in the Season Pass, it appears this is not the case as there are still three new card variants, three player titles, three avatars, and two cardbacks, which are the same numbers of those cosmetics included in previous Season Passes.
It seems like the Cyclops Crazy Emote replaced a tier that would normally yieldMarvel Snap’s Gold currencyfrom the Season Pass, which is definitely a worthy trade-off. The value added by including a new emote on the Season Pass as an additional cosmetic goes a long way towards makingMarvel Snap’s Season Pass a worthwhile purchase, which hopefully means a new emote will be a new staple of future Season Passes.
