As players explore the Ardenweald zone inWorld of Warcraft’sShadowlands expansion, they may find an Unusually Large Mushroom on the corpse of a mob that they have dispatched. Indeed, all of the creatures in Ardenweald have a chance to drop this unique item, though exactly what is to be done with it may not be immediately obvious. For those fans that are curious about how to use the Unusually Large Mushroom inWorld of Warcraft, this guide is here to help.

To put things simply,WoW’s Unusually Large Mushroom is used to summon Humon’gozz, a rare enemy that is found inArdenweald. To perform this summoning, players must plant the mushroom in a pile of dirt, called the Damp Loam, within 20 minutes of looting it. This dirt can be found at 32.42 30.26, but there is one important caveat: the Damp Loam is on a respawn timer of approximately 10 minutes.

As such, it is advisable thatWorld of Warcraftplayersgo directly to the aforementioned location as soon as they have looted the Unusually Large Mushroom. Doing so should guarantee that they catch at least one Damp Loam respawn before the mushroom disappears from their inventory, preventing any loss of work. However, if a player does not quite make it to the Damp Loam in time, they can simply eliminate mobs near to the dirt pile until they receive another Unusually Large Mushroom.

A short time after interacting with the Damp Loam and planting the Unusually Large Mushroom, Humon’gozz will appear, and fans now simply need to dispatch it. While bringing down thisShadowlands rare mobmay take quite a while, players that are persistent should ultimately be able to come out on top. That said, enlisting the help of others is certainly a good option if a fan feels that they are outmatched when standing against this gigantic mushroom.

With respect to what players will earn for defeating Humon’gozz, the real prize is the Arboreal Gulper, a new frogmount in Shadowlands. Notably, fans will not be able to learn how to use this mount until they have reached Level 60, which means that the item may need to sit in their inventories for a little while. While that may be slightly irritating to players that slay Humon’gozz at a lower level, gaining access to the Arboreal Gulper item at least provides some additional incentive to continue through the Shadowlands.
