Whenever new content is released inWorld of WarcraftandWorld of Warcraft Classicthere are players who race for the World First completion. Progress' dedication to getting to level 70 isn’t to claim World First for reaching max level, but is a step towards getting World First completion of all Tier 4 content - the most difficult content currently in the game thatjust arrived withBurning Crusade Classic. The journey to Tier 4 content, however, did bring Progress players Hacez, Kennygodx, Dt, Nigoshima, and Kynmagetwo being the first five players to reach level 70 since the expansion released.
To real level 70 in only 13 hours, the group employed a couple of familiar strategies. They started by stockpiling quest turn-ins until they unlocked some ofBurning Crusade Classic’s new dungeons. They then ran five-man dungeons for hours on end until they reached the level cap. It is not Progress' first world first, as the group is well known for achieving the World First clear of Naxxramas, getting the first C’Thun kill in Ahn’Qiraj, and for tieing for the World First clear of Blackwing Lair. The group needs 30 players to reach level 70 total to tackle the Tier 4 content, so they are definitely the team currently in the lead for the World First race.
It is always impressive to see the dedication that some players have when racing for World First completions for games likeWorld of WarcraftorDestiny 2. Progress' step towards doing so is particularly impressive, and it will be fun to watch the ongoing race as players try to finish all of the expansion’s new Tier 4 content. The race and excitement surrounding it is evidence that Blizzard’s decision toreleaseBurning Crusade Classicworldwide simultaneouslywas likely a good one.
