XDefianthas confirmed a huge feature for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the game, as fans will be able to play it at 120Hz on these current generation consoles.XDefiantis an upcoming first-person shooterdeveloped by Ubisoft, with its playable factions having access to unique weapons and abilities.
Ubisoft recently hosted a Ubisoft Forward presentationon June 12, giving gamers a glimpse at some of the titles in development at its studios. The Ubisoft Forward event featured extensive footage fromXDefiant, showing off the guns and other weapons customers can use while playing the game. Now, Ubisoft has revealed some good news about the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions ofXDefiant.

This information comes from Mark Rubin, Executive Producer atUbisoftin San Francisco, who confirms on Twitter that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions ofXDefiantwill run at 120Hz. This will allow users to have a smoother gameplay experience while playingXDefianton PS5 or Xbox Series X, which can prove to be crucial given that it’s a first-person shooter. Gamers should note that they will need capable TV to be able to runXDefiantin this mode, although most modern television sets come with this feature.
Ubisoft will soon host anopen beta forXDefiant, giving players a hands-on experience with the title. This beta period will be valid from 10 AM PT on June 21 to 11 PM PT on June 24, so gamers will be able to participate in thisXDefiantevent for around three days. Additionally, anyone who played the closed beta ofXDefiantwill be able to get on the game from June 20, giving them an additional day’s worth of time with the game.
Ubisoft also announced launch plans forXDefiantat the presentation, confirming the amount of content players can expect at its release, along with a roadmap for its Year 1. A special Preseason event forXDefiantwill be six weeks long, featuring 14 maps, five factions, and five modes. Then, Ubisoft plans to release new content every three months, giving users 12 maps, 12 weapons, and fourfactions inXDefiant. Overall, it looks like the first year ofXDefiantwill be packed with content, and it’ll be interesting to see if Ubisoft can manage to retain an audience in an otherwise crowded genre.
XDefiantis currently in development for Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
