Lizalfos are a classicLegend of Zeldamonster, and different types of Lizalfos were added inBreath of the Wild. As a direct sequel, Lizalfos make their return inTears of the Kingdom, and they can be just as much of a pest as theirBotW-counterparts.

Some Lizalfos breathe fire, others breathe ice. Then there are Electric Lizalfos, which can generate a field of electricity that zaps anything in range. It’s arguable whether the Electric Lizalfos are the toughest of their species, but regardless, their electric fields make them a nuisance. Unfortunately, it’s required to farm their horns and tails for several armor sets inTears of the Kingdom.

Where to Find Electric Lizalfos

Link won’t find the Electric Lizalfos in the Hebra or Eldin region. Instead, Electric Lizalfos prefer theGerudo Wastelandand theFaron Region. If players decide to look for them in the Gerudo Wasteland, they’ll level 2 cold/heat resistance depending on the time of day. In contrast, Faron doesn’t have arid or frigid temperatures. However, thunderstorms tend to strike Faron quite often, so keep an eye on the skies and remove any metal gear if necessary.

Striking the horn of an Electric Lizalfos will cause it to release a dome of electricity. If player intend on getting in headshots, they should do so from a fair distance away. If they’re too close, the dome will reach Link and he’ll drop his weapon.

Players that have the Camera from the “Camera Work in The Depths” and the Sensor + from “Presenting Sensor+” side quests can take a picture of an Electric Lizalfos and track its location:

Gerudo Wasteland

Electric Lizalfos will camouflage themselves in the sand and will leap out at Link if he gets too close. Players can avoid this by wearing theLizalfos MaskorMajora’s Mask. It’s also recommended to havelevel 2 heat and cold resistance(depending on the time of day in-game) and theSand Boots.

Faron Region (Dracozu Lake)

Another region that players can findElectric Lizalfosis the Faron Region, specifically aroundDracozu Lakeand theLakeside Stable. Here’s where to look:

Where to Use Electric Lizalfos Horns & Electric Lizalfos Tails

The downside to the Electric Lizalfos drops is that theElectric Lizalfos Tails are rarer than the horns. Players are more likely to get anElectric Lizalfos Hornfor each Electric Lizalfos they slay than they would a tail. Both the horns and the tails can be Fused to weapons to give them an electric attack. Fusing anElectric Lizalfos Tailwill create a whip.

Another way to use them isfor upgrading armor. The following armor sets will require Electric Lizalfos Horns and Electric Lizalfos Tails:
