While some shrines inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomare easier to see than others, theTaki-Ihaban Shrinemakes it a little more difficult for players by being hidden underground. As is the case witha handful of otherTotKshrines, the true challenge of the Taki-Ihaban Shrine is merely getting to the shrine itself.

Taki-Ihaban Shrine Location in TotK
The fastest route to reach the Taki-Ihaban Shrine is to fast travel toLindor’s Brow Skyview Towerin the Hyrule Ridge area between Hebra and Hyrule Field. Players should then travel a short distance southeast until they find the entrance toLindor’s Brow Cave at coordinates of roughly -1729, 1154. 0231. The cave opens up at the top and on the side of a cliff face near several clusters of Stone Pebblits.
Players need only travel down the cave tunnel before reaching a steep drop with a pool of water at the bottom. After jumping down, players should continue down another short length of cave to find a vast open cavern. The Taki-Ihaban Shrine will be visible in a small enclave to the player’s left. For the easiest method, players can jump or climb over to the enclave.

However, once Link sets foot on the cavern floor, Gloom Spawn will appear and attack. This fight is technically optional, as players have the freedom to climb up to the shrine’s enclave and activate it.
However, the intent of the cave seems to have the battle with the Gloom Spawn be the challenge of the shrine, and competing the battle can provide more rewards for the player.

The Gloom Spawn can be easily defeated in this space by fighting them from a high vantage point, such as the shrine’s enclave or a tall rock. Upon killing each of the hands, however, a Phantom Ganon mini-boss will rise from the Gloom.
This fight will take a good bit more effort as the Phantom Ganon will chase the player to areas with enough room or begin using a bow if it cannot reach them by any other means. When defeated, the Phantom Ganon will drop itsGloom Swordand theDemon King’s Bow, both powerful weapons to own inTears of the Kingdom.

Whether the player decides to fight the Phantom Ganon or not, they can activate the shrine and enter to receive Rauru’s Blessing. In addition to the free Light of Blessing, players can open the chest fora Zoanite Bow.
